WARHORSE TACTICS, Horse within a Shield.

The Shield represents defense. Defense of oneself, defense of one's family, community, country, beliefs.

This shield is designed after the United States Army's Infantry School Follow Me Patch. The design signifies my military experience & heritage, as well as pays homage to those who "Lead From the Front" and train others they lead.

The Horse is a rigid replica of the Belgium Draft Horse. Belgians are the direct descendant of the “Great Horse” of medieval times, and are the heaviest of all the draft breeds. They were developed for industrial, farm work, and hauling, and were fine WARHORSES used in centuries gone by in addition to the World Wars, due to their size and strength.

When I research the WARHORSES of the past, I can't help but admire all their characteristics & traits. I believe they represent the best in us. The ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, their communities, their families.

I believe, if a WARHORSE makes it home from battle, it should be given a Heroes welcome, retired, taken care of; not forgotten. And if we made the time, and they had the ability; imagine the stories the WARHORSE could tell.

I feel there is a WARHORSE in all of us. We may be broken, but we are not beat. We may have scares, but those scars mold us, define us, make us who we are, make us better. And we must continue to become better every day.
