Paul Taylor served 21 years of combined service in the military. He started his career as an Infantryman, then Scout Sniper, in the United States Marine Corps; and later transitioned to the US Army, serving as a Team Leader & Squad Leader in 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; and as a Special Forces Green Beret Engineer, Assaulter, Breacher, and Sniper on several ODA's in 3rd Special Forces Group. Mr. Taylor completed his career with 9 combat deployments supporting the Global War on Terror. During his last seven deployments, his responsibilities included but weren't limited to: Fire Base Security and Maintenance Supervisor, Range Manager, and Logistics.
Mr. Taylor continues to train military personnel, law-enforcement, and civilians as a Firearms & Tactics Instructor, specifically focusing on Defensive Scenarios, Combatives, Basic Marksmanship Skills, Battle Drills, Basic Demolition to CQB, Sniper Marksmanship and Tactics, Advanced Breaching, and Live Fire Maneuver Exercises. Along with his military instructor training, Mr. Taylor has also completed the NRA's Instructor Courses in Basic Pistol, Rifle, Personal Protection Inside the Home, and Personal Protection Outside the Home, as well as Range Safety Officer. He is a graduate of Ron Avery's Handgun Mastery Instructor Course, the ISCOPE Moving Target Instructor Course, CRI EP Instructor Course, PSD Advanced PSD Instructor Course, as well as Concealed Carry Instructor Courses in several states.
One of Mr. Taylor's primary hobbies is competitive shooting, which he does to not any improve his skills but to also mentor & coach fellow shooters. He is a Master-classified shooter in the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), along with regularly competing in sanctioned pistol and multi-gun (pistol, rifle, shotgun) matches in multiple organizations.
